The Departed vs Goodfellas

 

First posted this on my other blog but I thought you folks might find it interesting…

My wife and I had a mini debate this morning about the Departed vs Goodfellas, my take was that the Departed was more plot driven with strong acting and Goodfellas was in contrast more character driven…in general I think the characters In Goodfellas had more texture and the film was more of a showcase for Scorsese’s directorial skills.
