Time Tagging You Say…
Found this on Jack Cheng’s blog it’s an Interesting concept called Time Tagging where you estimate the time investment needed to complete a task…before starting it.
When you think about your tasks in terms of how long it takes to complete them, the volume on what the project is gets dialed down. Important projects you’ve been putting off gain weight on impulsive, less-productive things.

Personally I have found this is a requirement to estimate, very roughly, the time requirements for a next action at least at work.
This really comes directly back to the GTD concept of ‘time available’. However, I like to think about the time required of an action *once*, when I add it to a list, not every time I review my list after checking off an action.
Good find of a great tip

what i like about the concept is being mindful of the time cost of the things we choose to do…one of the key factors in being more productive is simply stop wasting so much time
