The idea behind hot desking is that each employee is not assigned a particular desk, but rather given a variety of places to work within an office that might include desks, casual seating areas, conference spaces, or a cafe.  Many times, there are actually less desks than employees.

So I work for a university from my home office.That is to say I have a desk but most of the time I’m not at working from my desk, I’m either working in the living room or on the dining room table.

My office is paperless so I don’t have to drag around a printer or a bunch files with me, so I can literally work anywhere. All I need is my Macbook, WiFi and some good green tea.

I was in Lake Worth Texas last week on a business trip and the Holiday Inn Express I was staying at actually had decent WiFi!

I was actually able to watch Netflix’s on my iPad without it stuttering.

It should be a crime that a hotel can charge you 15 bucks a day for a dial up connection claiming it’s “high speed internet”.

Apple Water is indeed an Apple-lover’s dream — pure, clean H2O, captured in Apple-designed containers from the central irrigation spigot at Apple’s corporate headquarters.

AAPL stock soared on the announcement today. Analyst Gene Munster of Piper Jaffray raised his target price to $500, noting the low cost of materials and customers “endless thirst and inscrutable need” for all things Apple. “Apple Water,” says Munster, “is somewhere between tap water and holy water.”

A 16-ounce container of Apple Water retails for $9.99. Apple Water Pro, a five-gallon jug, is only $49.99.

I’m pretty impressed with Google Currents; it’s a solid 1.0 release. It focuses on being a visually-pleasing way to read the content you’re specifically interested in from the web, rather than taking Flipboard’s approach of letting others (at least in part) determine what content you see.

The aesthetic is quiet and calm, and it does just enough with trending topics to ensure you always have something to read without feeling that your own selected content is being intruded upon.
