Streampad is a Web-based media player that gives users access to their digital music library from any computer. Similar to Songbird, it streams your personal library from the Internet but it runs completely inside any browser.

Mozilla is calling on developers to help it ensure that the next version of the open source web browser is solid. And it has released an alpha version of Firefox 3 for developers to play with.
The superstructure of Firefox 3 alpha is built around Gecko 1.9, an updated layout engine. The browser, tentatively scheduled for delivery in May 2007, is also due to include features held back from Firefox 2, such as the revamped Places system for storing bookmarks and a re-jigged history function.
Mac users rejoice! Release 0.8.6 of the VideoLAN client media player supports Windows Media Video 9, Flash video as well as improved H.264 decoding. This means you won’t have to rely on Flip4MAC for your WMV needs. The updates don’t just stop there either – there’s a handy fullscreen controller similar to the one found in QuickTime.
According to the survey, the addition of Christmas and holiday ornamentation (trees, decorations, etc.) to a standard office setting reduced wireless signal strength by 25 percent.
