- Nice and loong post on working from home…I work out of my basement. My kids all understand that “Daddy is busy working” and they only interrupt me for emergencies. Other adults and visiting family members are a different story. They come into my office and start talking to me when I’m clearly wearing my headset—no matter how many fingers I hold up (or which ones). (via list apart)
- Need some help cleaning up your nasty filthy house…Last week in our quest for de-junking the spaces around us, we walked through cleaning a workstation and keeping it that way. This week, we’re taking on a more personal, and often intimidating, space: The home. Personal because it is, after all, your home, and intimidating because it’s the place you don’t have to keep clean—until somebody’s coming to visit. (via lifehacker)
- Have you noticed how hard it is sometimes to get anything done at work? I work from home and am amazed every time I go into the office how much time we waste…Below is a great interview from O’Reilly TV on productivity and stopping interruptions.
Yet another desktop GTD application…GTD-Free is a multiplatform, free task management program that is based on the “Getting Things Done” (GTD) methodology. It aims to be lightweight and simple while offering a wide range of features such as editable lists, projects, priorities, etc. (via freeware genius)
iPhone and productivity? interesting…I record all my receipts and photo notes straight to Evernote. I have every invoice and purchase order in PDF from my business as well as all the other files that I want to share between multiple locations stored in EverNote. The Web application, Mac Application, and iPhone application make this a killer note taking and storing app for me. (via did i get things done)
