One of my major productivity challenges is that I have a difficult time learning lessons from my mistakes the first time they happen. I’ll get an idea in my mind for how something should work, and then when it doesn’t go as planned, I take little or no notice that my procedure was flawed.
Creative’s have a talent that perhaps exceeds our ability to create: the ability to convince ourselves that the props we’ve set up to keep us from creating are real. There’s always organizing, list-making, office-cleaning, chores, research, or toenail clipping to be done.

Sometimes, the way to maximize the value of teamwork is to have as little team, and as much work as possible. This is especially true when teams or partners are geographically distant from one another. Live collaboration in such situations is logistically difficult, and stressful for all involved.
